The Nature of Beauty

There is beauty in a moment captured that we otherwise wouldn’t see because it flies by so fast or happens so far away we wouldn’t even know it exists. There is beauty in not only the line and form and movement of a dancer, but also in the simple physical effort of dancing, and there is certainly beauty in the smile of a child full of joy.

On the Road From Hiraeth is an expedition into thoughts and ideas, concepts both academic and pragmatic, that began as simple (often shorter - sorry about that) Facebook posts. I have no wonderfully impressive scholarly credentials, and what I write now is meant primarily for my own benefit, my own journey, but shared for whatever benefit others might glean from it as well as a personal desire help where I can.

I want to write things that explore the more esoteric philosophical ideas of emotional existence rolling around in my head like marbles; examine practical, healthy aspects of living a life at relative peace with the world, both inside and out, and tools we can use to achieve that; talk more about quality of life than whatever shitty road I took to get here; and occasionally have a bit of goofy fun.
